Village President / Mayor
Harry Jennings is the Village President (also referred to as the Mayor). The Village President is the Chief Executive Officer of the Village of South Jacksonville, Illinois. The Village President performs all of the duties prescribed by law, including municipal ordinances, and is required to see that the laws and ordinances are faithfully executed. The Village President gives the council information concerning the affairs of the Village and is elected to a four year term.
Megan Moore is Village Clerk. The Village Clerk is elected at the general election for trustees. The Village Clerk attends all meetings of the corporate authorities and keeps a full record of their proceedings in the corporate journal. The Village Clerk is required to publish all ordinances when necessary either in the newspaper or in pamphlet form.
Tiffanee Peters is the Village Treasurer. The Village Treasurer is the chief financial officer and custodian of all funds belonging to the municipality. She maintains records accounting for each fund and appropriation.
