Chief David Hickox (left) heads the Village of South Jacksonville's 25-man volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad located at 1810 Sequoia. The Village started providing Ambulance Service in August, 2008. The ambulance is dispatched through Passavant Hospital on an "as needed" basis.

Persons living outside the corporate limits of the Village may be eligible to subscribe to our Rural Fire Service. There is an annual fee of $50.00 for rural fire protection, and proof of insurance is required.
