MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR BARTLETT GRAIN FACILITY LOCATED AT 2350 SOUTH MAIN STREET IN  SOUTH JACKSONVILLE,  ILLINOIS
South Jacksonville Mayor Gordon Jumper (L) and Terry Dennison of the Jacksonville Regional Economic Development Commission announced at a press conference on Friday, 4-20-12, that Bartlett Grain Company will build a new grain-handling facility in South Jacksonville, Illinois. The site is located on the Kansas City Southern Railroad and will also be accessible from both Interstate 72 and HWY 267. The facility will have over two million bushels of storage. Bob Knief, President of Bartlett Grain, said, "Bartlett appreciates the work of Gordon Jumper and the Village of South Jacksonville to help make this project a reality"  Check their live cameras (see photo above) to follow their progress at:  Bartlett Grain live camera

HANDICAPPED-ACCESSIBLE RESTROOMS WILL BE OPEN ANNUALLY APRIL 15 UNTIL OCT. 15.

Buster Sanitation is picking up yard waste. Bag tags are available at Village Hall for $3.50 each. Buster suspends yard waste pickup from Nov 29, 2013 - March 15, 2014.

Landscape waste (brush, grass, leaves, limbs) can be dropped off at the City of  Jacksonville's site (near intersection of Oak and North West) by South Jacksonville residents at a charge of approximately $8 per pickup. Contact Jacksonville for more info.
