The Village has a policeman on duty 24 hours a day, as well as 29 volunteers representing the fire department and rescue squad.  

Dial 911 for assistance in an emergency.

If you need assistance for a non-emergency situation, please call 217-245-9222. A dispatcher will make your problem known to the on-duty South Jacksonville patrolman. 

In addition, there is an emergency telephone located just outside the Police Department door at Village Hall---Just pick up the receiver and you are automatically
connected to a dispatcher, who will assist you.
